I’m recording an EP at home in early October and would love your support!
Over the past few months, I've been deeply inspired, writing a collection of folk-inspired, acoustic songs right here on my front porch on the edge of Nashville. Countless songs were written in this house long before my time. A renowned songwriter once called this place home, and music history seems to be lurking around every corner of the neighborhood. John Hartford’s longtime home sits just a few blocks away. Hank Williams’ best friend lived only a few houses down, and it is said that Hank gave his final interview on the porch next door. Waylon and Johnny had their first place in Nashville a few blocks down.
Feeling inspired, I’ve written a lot of new tunes and it’s time to capture the energy while it's still lingering. I’ve decided to record an intimate EP at home using a Tascam 388 tape machine. If you know something about me, you know I love working with Tascam tape machines. My old band buds, Ben Garner and Jordan Siden will be joining me alongside a few studio musicians who will be adding percussion and fiddle. Together, we will create an intimate EP of six heartfelt folk songs, capturing the warmth and spirit of the very home where they were born.
To bring this project fully to life I’m seeking your support. In return, I’m offering exclusive merch, including CDs and handwritten lyric sheets, for preorder. This is a chance to be part of something personal and heartfelt, preserving these songs in their purest form. Your support means the world in making this a reality.
EP Presale merch will ship by December 4th.
